During the old resistance army era, the group's high profile drew a demon lord's attack. The demon lord recognized Jieka as the true core holding the team together and targeted her first for assassination.

Due to the region's unique geology combined with countless high-level magic spells colliding during the war, a special transformation occurred that preserved her body's state at the moment of death. Years after she was killed, her consciousness returned, and she clawed her way out of the swamp as a zombie. It took her quite some time to grasp the situation, after which she set out to find her former companions.

After learning the whereabouts of Koge and Chunya through various channels, she sought out the Hand of Freedom, hoping to rescue her old friends so the three of them could reunite and return to how things used to be.

Having become undead, Jieka doesn't mind at all -- in fact, she revels in it and couldn't care less about how others see her.

Most undead are mindless monsters, but a rare few retain their sense of self. Jieka, who possesses both self-will and complete memories of her past, is an extremely special case.
