Her true identity is the second-generation boss of the yakuza group "Night Owl," the underground manager of the night market. She collects protection fees from stalls on schedule and provides protection in return. To outsiders it looks like the yakuza shaking down commoners, but in reality the night market is mostly made up of poor people who are easy targets for criminals, so they genuinely need the yakuza's protection. Nekomura Hongye has never betrayed the people's trust, keeping everything in perfect order and upholding the chivalry that the yakuza believes in.

She is skilled with a full-length katana and specializes in lightning-fast iaido, making her extremely formidable in combat. Her fighting style bears traces of "Fenghua" -- in fact, Nekomura Hongye is the daughter of Fenghua's former master. After her family suffered a catastrophe, she lost contact with Fenghua, was taken in by night market vendors, and joined the yakuza.
