An expressionless maid who is always on guard against her surroundings. Watch out - she's a habitual thief.

Her eyes are constantly scanning her surroundings. Past failures have made her pessimistic and paranoid, sometimes overthinking things.

Money, stealing, pickled foods

Jixia was born to a slave mother. Around age five, the slave owner arbitrarily cast her and her mother out, making them wanderers. It was then that her mother abandoned Jixia on the streets.

Jixia survived by picking pockets and fleeing, learning illegal skills like forging identities. It was during this time she developed the bad habit of petty theft. Desperate to escape her circumstances, she successfully obtained a fake demon citizen identity and applied for a maid position serving upper-class demons.

But it did not take long before her lack of proper skills exposed her, leading to her being unmasked and declared wanted. Though she managed to flee for a while, she was eventually captured and sold as a slave to compensate the noble for their losses.

Being poor at managing money, even her occasional successful illicit schemes never lasted. The life she dreams of remains far out of reach.

Repeated failures in life have left her pessimistic, cautious in everything she does, and deeply insecure. Because of her thieving past, she is always convinced the people around her are about to catch her, so she is perpetually alert to her surroundings - which also means she can never fully focus on the task at hand.
